My name’s Erin, I’m a 25 year old writer, dog lover, coffee drinker and book hoarder based in Birmingham, UK.

I graduated with a degree in English Literature in 2016 and have been posting my poetry on Instagram ever since in an attempt at getting my words heard by those who want to listen.

Heavily influenced by Sylvia Plath and Emily Dickinson, I specialise in handwritten poetry and am currently putting together my very first collection for publication.

Random facts about me…

• I’m self taught on guitar, playing (very basic) chords since I was about 13
• I never really used to get poetry until I discovered Ariel by Sylvia Plath when I was 18. I felt like I’d just been looking in all the wrong places.
• I collect vinyl like the true hipster I am. The first I ever owned was Thriller by Michael Jackson.
• I love marmite and gherkins; both of which I get terrorised for.
• Lilac is my favourite colour.
• My favourite movie is La La Land.
• Music-wise I’m obsessed with Haim, Bon Iver, Yonaka, Florence + the Machine, Fleetwood Mac, Christine and the Queens, The 1975, Phoebe Bridgers, Sam Fender, Damien Rice, Purity Ring, The xx, Queen, John Mayer, Of Monsters and Men… and many, many more!
